Kilimanjaro Climb in 2007

A pictorial record of our climb up Kilimanjaro August 2007. We made the ascent via the Rongai Route returning by what was popularly referred to as the 'Coca Cola' route. The Whole group of nine made it to Uruhu (the very top) and I don't think any of us claimed it was easy.

Kikewela Caves to Mawenzie Tarn.  This part of the route we seem to be walking away from Kibo.

Climbing Kibo via The Rongai Route - Day four

Mawenzie Tarn to Kibo Hut.  This part involved a long walk across the High Desert.  It was almost completely bereft of vegetation but not due to lack of moisture rather the altitude of something well over 4,000 metres.
